The project aims to increase the inclusion of Roma from two marginalised communities in Constanta and Calarasi counties, through integrated measures, empowerment activities and actions against discrimination.

The main component of the project aims to increase access to quality, sectoral or integrated services of social assistance, education, employment, health and housing for 800 Roma people from ZUM Baraci - Medgidia in Constanta County and Galbinași commune in Calarasi County.

The services provided follow a systemic approach, integrated and centred on each vulnerable Roma people while the application of case management creates premises for increasing quality of sectoral or integrated services for the target group. Integrated services are provided regarding information, counselling and accompaniment for access to goods, services and benefits, obtaining identity documents, providing remedial education services, non-formal education, through reading, exploration and play, parental education services, professional certification services, vocational information and counselling, assessment and certification of professional skills, mediation for insertion on the labour market, provision of psychological counselling services for children and parents, organisation of campaigns to promote a healthy lifestyle and provision of legal advice and assistance to clarify the situation of rights. The project also aims at organising information and promotion campaigns in the community of successful practices in Roma inclusion and empowerment;

The second component of the project aims to enable a number of 300 Roma people (220 women, young Roma and 80 Roma experts and leaders) who live in the project implementation areas in order to actively participate in decision-making that affects their lives, as well as access to fundamental rights. The aim is to facilitate access of Roma women and young people, Roma experts and leaders to empowerment activities by developing a Guide for accessing goods, services and benefits, developing and delivering in organised workshops a package of courses for Roma people on granting first aid, combating discrimination and community development and organising a campaign dedicated to the individual development of young Roma women aged 14-29;

The third component of the project aims to promote respect for Roma rights among 230 specialists / volunteers in the fields of education, health, employment, social services, public administration, NGO sector and 1.500 community members belonging to the majority population living in the project counties. To this end, the project provides for the organisation of information campaigns aimed at institutions / organisations involved in providing services to Roma people, developing and providing training programs on developing skills for specialists / volunteers in recognising and combating discrimination against Roma and awareness campaigns on anti-discrimination issues.
